Bird's nest is a highly prized food in traditional Chinese cuisine, and it is believed to have a variety of health benefits. Here are some of the reasons why bird's nest is considered good for you:

  • Rich in nutrients: Bird's nest contains a variety of nutrients, including protein, carbohydrates, calcium, iron, potassium, and various vitamins, such as vitamins A, B1, B2, and C.

  • Promotes tissue repair: Bird's nest is believed to stimulate cell growth and promote tissue repair, making it beneficial for wound healing and recovery from illnesses.

  • Boosts immunity: Bird's nest is thought to boost the immune system and help protect against infections and diseases.

  • Anti-aging effects: Bird's nest contains antioxidants, which can help to neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress. This may help to slow down the aging process and improve skin health.

  • Supports respiratory health: Bird's nest is believed to have a soothing effect on the respiratory system and may be beneficial for people with asthma, coughs, and other respiratory conditions.

Overall, bird's nest is considered a health-promoting food in traditional Chinese medicine, and it is often used as a tonic to support overall health and well-being. However, it is important to note that scientific evidence on the health benefits of bird's nest is limited, and more research is needed to fully understand its effects on human health.

The swallow bird has always been considered as a symbol of a good luck to Chinese people.

The bird never disturbs or harms human being, but helps men whipping insects out as a food.

In addition, the nest contains a protein, calories and vitamin that are good for men, women, young and old.

The Chinese name for bird's nest soup, yàn wō (燕窝), translates literally as "swallow's nest". When dissolved in water, the birds' nests have a gelatinous texture used for soup or sweet tong sui. It is mostly referred to as "jin wo" unless references are made to the salty or sweet soup in Chinese cuisine.

The most heavily harvested nests are from the Edible-nest Swiftlet or White-nest Swiftlet (Aerodramus fuciphagus) and the Black-nest Swiftlet (Aerodramus maximus).[3] The white nests and the "red blood" nests are supposedly rich in nutrients which are traditionally believed to provide health benefits, such as aiding digestion, raising libido, improving the voice, alleviating asthma, improving focus, and an overall benefit to the immune system.

The nests are built during the breeding season by the male swiftlet over a period of 35 days. They take the shape of a shallow cup stuck to the cave wall. The nests are composed of interwoven strands of salivary laminae cement. Both nests have high levels of calcium, iron, potassium, and magnesium.
